Only Fighter to Defeat Tom Aspinall in the UFC Debuts Bold New Hairstyle
Geometric Design Gets Fans Talking as Heavyweight Contender Shows Off New Look
A top UFC heavyweight, and still the only man to hand Tom Aspinall a loss inside the Octagon, has gone viral after showing off a unique new hairstyle.
The fighter shared a photo featuring a clean geometric design carved into the back of his head, paired with turtle and crown emojis and the phrase “Turtle King.”
The pattern resembles the Chinese symbol for turtle, which sparked a mix of playful and puzzled reactions from fans online.
This isn’t someone new to the spotlight.
Longtime fans recognized him instantly as Curtis Blaydes, a consistent force in the heavyweight division for years.
But the post wasn’t about fighting. It was just a fun look at Blaydes letting his personality show outside of fight week.

Symbol or Just a Style Choice
Some fans suggested the turtle design might represent something meaningful, like endurance or protection.
Others took it as a fun personal expression.
Either way, it’s not something you see every day from a fighter known more for ground control than grooming trends.
The post caught attention not because it was flashy, but because it came from a fighter who typically keeps things low-key.
And after some of the wars he’s been in, a little lighthearted energy goes a long way.
Blaydes Has Fought the Best
Curtis Blaydes has stepped into the Octagon with some of the most feared names in the sport.
He’s fought Francis Ngannou, Derrick Lewis, Sergei Pavlovich, and Tom Aspinall, who he beat at UFC London in 2022 due to a knee injury just 15 seconds into the fight.
While that win was controversial, it’s still the only blemish on Aspinall’s UFC record.
Blaydes also had a win overturned into a No Contest because of a marijuana test result earlier in his career.

Still a Threat in the Division
Even though newer contenders are getting a lot of attention, Blaydes remains in the mix.
He’s known for his elite wrestling and toughness, and when healthy, he’s a handful for anyone in the top five.
The new haircut probably won’t change his game plan, but it’s a reminder that even the toughest guys in the sport like to switch things up once in a while.
